Retail sales in Romania grew by 6.6 percent in January
In January, the volume of retail sales increased by 6.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year – the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Tuesday.
According to the seasonal and calendar adjusted data, the growth rate was 6.1 percent. The unadjusted growth was mainly driven by a 9.4 percent increase in non-food sales. Fuel sales increased by 5.8 percent, while food sales were 4.3 percent higher than in last January. (MTI)
