Salty sticks are tastier if made from Hungarian wheat
Intersnack Hungary, the manufacturer of Chio products, makes snacks from Hungarian wheat in its Győr factory, which are exported to Kuwait, China and the USA. The company purchases and processes 12.5 thousand tons of Hungarian wheat to make salty sticks, pretzels and crackers in the value of HUF 1 billion. More than 8,000 tons of salty sticks are produced in Győr this year and 90 percent of the snacks made here are exported, e.g. to the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland. Zsolt Szélpál, sales director of Goodmills Zrt. told our magazine that thanks to its high protein and gluten content, the products made from Hungarian wheat are tastier and more enjoyable.
