The Short Food Supply Chain (REL) Expo and Conference will be held for the fourth time on November 13, 2025, at the AERO Hotel in Jakabszállás. The event is organized by the Small Steps Association, in cooperation with the Central Danube Development Agency Nonprofit Ltd., the National Chamber of Agriculture and the Herman Ottó Institute Nonprofit Ltd.

The event is a professional forum, exhibition and fair at the same time: its aim is to connect small producers, service providers, municipalities and development policy actors, helping to strengthen local food chains, sustainable operations and the rural economy.
This year, around 100 exhibitors and 600 visitors are expected. Producer groups, small businesses, artisans and agritourism players will be on site, demonstrating the possibilities of green technologies and food innovation with practical examples – for example, peanut butter presses, small-scale solar solutions and sustainable packaging technologies.
This year’s theme of the conference is climate change adaptation: how innovation can help small businesses balance competitiveness and sustainability. The program will also feature the first participants of the Open Door Days initiative and the finalists of the Agrotourism Food competition.

The aim of the IV. REL Expo is to build a bridge between producers, developers and consumers and to show that local produce is not only tastier, but also the basis of the rural economy of the future.
