Hungarians travelling domestically
The combined number of nights spent in commercial places of accommodation by Hungarian and foreign guests in the first half of the year has grown by 1 per cent compared to the same period a year before. Total revenues grew by 5 per cent, while income from accommodation increased by 7 per cent. The total number of foreign guests was 1.4 million with 4.1 million nights. The number of guests showed a decline of 1 per cent, while that of nights fell by 3 per cent. 1.7 million domestic guests were registered in the same period with 3.9 million nights. The number of guests shows an increase of 3 per cent, while that of nights spent grew by 5 per cent in most types of accommodation, except tourist hostels.
