Hungarians are drinking more wine since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic

Hungarians have been consuming more wine since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, and typically do so at home, according to an online survey conducted in October and November 2020 by Koch Csaba, winner of the Wine Producer of the Year award. Purchases from the webshop are getting stronger, even directly from the producer. According to the research, the most popular price category is ranging between 1000-2000 forints – agrarszektor.hu wrote.

34 percent of those surveyed have already ordered wine from a webshop in recent months, either from a wine merchant or directly from a producer – according to a survey conducted by Koch Csaba, winner of the Wine Producer of the Year award. The survey was conducted among 1309 respondents in October and November. The majority still get their favorite wines in person. 37.8 percent of people shop mainly in supermarkets and 18.4 percent in wine shops. (agrarszektor.hu)
