The weekend of rural tourism

Rural tourism weekend (officially Homecoming weekend), will be held this year for the first time. Rural producers, suppliers can show their products among real farm environment on the expense of Hungarian Tourism Ltd. and Ministry of Agriculture.

As the prelude of this year's event, rural craftsmen and producers presented their products at the castle of Vajdahunyad last year. This year the organizers are trying to lure the townsman into villages. On the weekend of rural tourism, between 12 and 14 June, wine cellars, palinka distilleries, biofarms, craftsmen, farm houses and other rural services are waiting guests with a minimum 20 percent discount. According to the latest totals 1200 service providers have joined the action already, and the organizers are still welcome the application of further private businesses. Service providers can register until the begining of the event on the hazajaro.hu site. Their data sheets will be available for one year until the next event – reports Origo.
