ITM: the consumer protection test has decimated hair dryers
The Monstre product safety action has inspected more than one and a half hundred hair dryers in the Mechanical and Electrical Laboratory of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM). Eighteen of the 155 products tested failed to deliver the promised performance, and thirteen are downright life-threatening, the ministry said on Wednesday.
The laboratory measured the power absorbed by the hair dryer. In this test, 18 products were found to be in fact incapable of producing the values indicated on the packaging and on the hair dryer. (MTI)
