Families and fair businesses can count on consumer protection again this year
Consumer protection is present in all fields of life, so last year it focused on family safety and the protection of decent businesses, and will continue to work towards this principle this year – the Deputy Minister of State for Consumer Affairs of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology said on Wednesday at the Allee Shopping Center in Budapest.
Keszthelyi Nikoletta explained that last year there were 30,000 complaints received by the consumer protection, which is proportionate to the magnitude experienced in recent years. In 2019, the Authority inspected more than 7,000 shops, with a 36 percent infringement rate and imposed a consumer protection fine of 730 HUF million. (MTI)
