ITM Secretary of State: competitive condition is the circular economy

The circular economy is not only a condition for a livable future, but is also for long-term competitiveness, the state secretary of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) responsible for circular economy development, energy and climate policy said on Wednesday at the online opening of the Ecoindustria trade fair.

Steiner Attila emphasized that the circular economy is much more than just waste recovery. It presupposes a change of attitude and requires a transformation of production processes, efficient use of raw materials, elimination of waste, efficient use of energy, clean energy production, sustainable transport, development of waste and water management, he added.
