ITM: 45 percent of businesses do not know the exact terms of the warranty
Keszthelyi Nikoletta added that 40 percent of the complaints received by the consumer protection authority are related to warranty.
Describing the rules of the warranty, which will change from January, she said that banded warranty periods will be introduced in line with the price of the product: the mandatory warranty for products under 100,000 HUF will remain one year, between 100-250,000 HUF two years and those over 250,000 HUF three years.
