ITM: Christmas checks serve the safety of consumers
The Christmas audits, which began in mid-November and end through December, affect consumers’ financial and product safety – Keszthelyi Nikoletta, Deputy Minister of protection of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) said at a joint press conference with the Budapest Metropolitan Government.
She explained that the Consumer Protection Inspectorate had inspected 835 shops until 9 December. The ratio of infringements was 34 percent out of the 830 trial purchases. Objection rate was 28 percent and a national fine was 8 million HUF. (MTI)
