Syngenta Wine Competition: Tokaj won among the wine-growing regions
The Syngenta National Wine Competition was held for the sixteenth time. This year a total of 459 entries were received from the wine-producing regions of the country.
At the contest like last year, the Tokaji wines took their prime: seven out of the thirteen best wines were made by the winemakers of the Tokaj wine region.
Czigány Tibor, CEO of Syngenta in his opening speech at the awards ceremony in Siófok said that the continuous evolution of the national vine and wine sector can be well measured at the agricultural company’s wine competition. This year a total of 455 wines and 4 champagne were competing from all regions of the country.
