The number of employed people in the EU and in the euro area broke records again
In October-December last year, the number of people employed in the European Union and in the euro area rose to a new record for the fourth consecutive quarter, indicating that the labor market is tightening with strong economic growth.
According to the report of the EU Statistical Office (Eurostat) published on Wednesday, a seasonally adjusted, 236.8 million workers were working in the European Union in the last quarter of 2017, of which 156.7 million in the euro area. There have never been so many people working ever. It is an all time record both in the EU and in the euro area. (MTI)
