Poisonous infant formula on the shelves again in China
Carcinogens were found in more than 30 tons of Chinese infant formula in China. The production was suspended, the product recall and the investigation began, the producer apologized – the Chinese media reported on Monday.
The inspectors of the national surveillance and quality control inspectorate carried out random tests on Sunday in Guangdong Province. The tests showed a significant proportion of aflatoxin, a poison mushroom in a total of five dairy products.
Preliminary studies have shown that the origin of contamination could be the feed of animals. This kind of aflatoxin, mainly attacks cereals and nuts. (MTI)
