Once again, Lidl helps feed shelter animals
Lidl Hungary’s 13th Full Bowl campaign, launched by the supermarket chain on the occasion of World Animal Day, has ended successfully. The goal was once again to draw attention to responsible animal husbandry and to contribute to the feeding of animals with a difficult fate. More than 5,400 people joined the announced game, as part of the initiative, the company, together with its customers, donated a total of more than 9,000 kg of pet food to the NOÉ Animal Shelter Foundation and the Rex Dog Shelter Foundation.
Lidl Hungary is committed to responsible animal husbandry, as evidenced by the fact that it has now announced its Telitálka campaign for the 13th time. As part of a game launched on the occasion of World Animal Day, the discount chain expected photos of four-legged pets from its social media followers. The goal was to collect 1,000 photos so that Lidl could contribute a total of HUF 5,000,000 worth of pet food to feeding the residents of the NOÉ Animal Shelter and the Rex Dog Shelter. The popularity of the game is indicated by the fact that significantly more than expected 5,400 pictures of dogs and cats were received. In the end, more than 9,000 kg of pet food went to the small animals from the collected amount, which means that each uploaded image meant more than 1.5 kg of food for the cats and dogs.
“One of the most important elements of our corporate social responsibility is our Telitálka campaign, which is now considered a tradition, because responsible animal husbandry and taking care of our animals is the duty of all of us. It is a great pleasure for us that our social media followers once again gladly joined our fundraising campaign. We are proud that as a result of our Telitálka campaign, which has been implemented for the 13th time since 2016, together with our customers, we have contributed with a total of HUF 40.5 million, nearly 102 tons of pet food to the shelter pets”
– said Judit Tőzsér, Head of Corporate Communications at Lidl Hungary.
