BOTANIQ Collection will be presenting two units at the MBH Bank Gourmet Festival this year to share their culinary knowledge and creativity with an audience interested in gastronomy. At the event, held between May 24 and 26, BIBO Budapest – the restaurant of three Michelin-starred chef Dani García – and BOTANIQ Bar will be welcoming visitors with special dishes, drink concepts and personal encounters.

Dani García will also be traveling to Budapest for the festival, who said the following about the Hungarian capital:

“I am returning to Budapest for the fourth time, and I was completely impressed by this fantastic city on my first visit. Hungarians are lucky people to not only have a beautiful capital, but also a rich and dynamic cuisine that in many ways evokes the gastronomic traditions of Andalusia.”

This year’s theme of the Gourmet Festival, “favorites,” proved to be a particularly inspiring starting point for Dani García. BIBO Budapest’s menu is based on his own culinary memories: the flavors of his Andalusian home, his travels and his personal favorites are combined in his dishes. These dishes are not only technically sophisticated, but also carry emotional imprints – evoking the atmosphere of festive occasions, childhood memories and family recipes. Five special dishes will be presented at the BIBO Budapest stand: the Ököruszály Brioche®, the BIBO Lángos, the Roppanós Garnéla and the Gulyás Croquette, and finally the dessert called Budapesti Hold will close the menu.

One of the highlights of the festival will be the six-hand cooking on Saturday evening, May 24th, on the Gourmet Academy stage, where Dani García will draw inspiration from the favorite Hungarian dishes of chefs Giorgio Cavicchiolo (Alelí) and Imre Varjú (Flava) and rethink them in his own style. The prepared dishes will also be available for the public to taste, and they can vote and decide which of Dani García’s reimagined Hungarian favorites will be featured on the Bibo Budapest menu.

BOTANIQ Bar returns to the Gourmet Festival for the fourth time to treat visitors to unique items and fresh summer drink premieres. The bar’s menu has been curated by Tamás Langó, the Michelin Guide’s 2023 sommelier of the year, who will once again bring special, world-class items to the event – the cocktails will be prepared by bar manager Feke Soma. BOTANIQ’s own drink, Blumenizer Gin, will also be presented to the public for the first time at the stand, a layered, herbal-spiced distillate inspired by the spice garden of BOTANIQ’s Turai Castle. BOTANIQ’s new summer cocktail will also debut at the Gourmet Festival: the Tokaji spritz, made with Patricius Borház Katinka, a late-harvest wine blend, apricots and fresh sage. A light, fruity, yet elegant drink that pays homage to the heritage of the Tokaji wine region and the summer atmosphere.
