The Store of the Future opens again at the SIRHA Budapest exhibition! (Part 4)
SIRHA Budapest is one of Central and Eastern Europe’s leading international food industry and HoReCa trade fairs, welcoming professionals for the seventh time between March 3 and 5, 2026 at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center. This year, we are also hosting visitors of the Future Store for the 10th time together with our partners and their innovations – and we are now sharing a few highlights as a teaser.
In 2026, the Future Store will once again showcase the market’s latest product developments ahead of launch, innovative equipment solutions and services. The sales floor, hot spots, on-the-go, checkout zone, as well as the convenience and HoReCa areas will be presented as a coherent whole, featuring a range of trendy new solutions that many visitors will encounter here for the first time. The newest solutions for both unmanned and staffed units will be on display, with special emphasis on data-driven developments, customer-experience-related solutions and product innovations, including the latest in-store communication tools.
At SIRHA Budapest 2026, a total of 26 companies will present their innovative products, sales-promotion tools and new solutions in a unique format at the Future Store Innovations stand (Hall A, stand 301A), as part of professionally guided tours. Guided tours depart every half hour at pre-announced times; visitors can register and book a slot in advance, while on-site registration is also available subject to remaining capacity. Tours take place in groups of up to 30 people, and each tour lasts approximately 70 minutes.
At the bottom of the article, you can register for a free entry pass and for the professional guided tours as well!
Many solutions will be showcased here for the very first time, and – as in previous years – visitors will also have the opportunity to taste product innovations that are about to be launched. In this compilation, four companies are introduced today out of the 26 exhibitors.
myPOS Sigma levels up: DÁP-based age verification is coming
The myPOS Sigma, a next-generation terminal combining digital age verification with secure payments, is expanding with a major software upgrade. Thanks to the new feature, fast and secure digital age verification will now be available directly on the terminal – a must-have when selling age-restricted products. This innovative solution provides strong support for merchants in ensuring legal compliance, as the system fully supports identification via the Digital Citizenship (DÁP) wallet. By automating the process, the need for manual checks is eliminated, reducing the risk of human error to a minimum, while service becomes faster and more modern. Beyond the new technology, myPOS Sigma continues to deliver familiar premium reliability: its robust design supports all cashless payment methods. Weather resistance and impact protection ensure smooth operation even in demanding conditions. Despite its space-saving design, the terminal offers multiple connectivity options (MDB, LAN, USB-C), enabling easy integration into modern business ecosystems and vending/automated systems.
