The domestic qualifiers for the Next Generation PR World Cup are starting again – the MPRSZ is looking for applications from young communication professionals
The ICCO has once again announced the Next Generation PR World Cup, an international competition for the next generation of PR professionals. The competition offers communications professionals under the age of 35 the opportunity to demonstrate their preparedness and creative thinking in a real professional situation, on an international level. The Hungarian qualifiers are being organized for the fourth time this year by the Hungarian PR Association.
The pre-selection task is provided by the competition’s professional sponsor, McDonald’s, so that the teams can develop a strategic solution to a current communication challenge. Two-person teams of professionals under the age of 35 are invited to apply for the competition.
In recent years, agency and client-side professionals have also won the domestic round and advanced to the world finals: in 2021, Open Communications, in 2022, Positive Adamsky, in 2023, HOLD Alapkezelő, and in 2024, the joint team of OTP and Telekom advanced.
One day, real brief, sharp presentation
At the domestic qualifier, on the morning of March 26, 2026, the teams will receive the competition task online, develop their concept and prepare their presentation, and then in the afternoon they will present their solutions in person, in front of the professional jury, in a maximum of three minutes.
The entries will be evaluated by a jury consisting of renowned representatives of the communications profession. The members of the board are: Ákos Csermely, producer, conference organizer representing DigitalHungary; Judit Esküdt, communications and marketing expert; Judit Szabó, corporate communications and sustainability manager of McDonald’s Hungary, which submitted the brief; András Sztaniszláv, president of the Hungarian Association of Hungarian Journalists; and György Tóth, PR and Strategy Director of Mediator.
The jury evaluates the strategic soundness, the creative approach, the feasibility and the quality of the presentation. The results will be announced on site, and the winning team will receive their diploma immediately.
The winner of the qualifier will be able to represent the Hungarian communications profession on the international stage
World Final 24-26 April 2026 It takes place online between . One team per country can participate in the competition, where the finalists will be tasked with preparing a communication strategy based on a detailed brief from an internationally recognized civil society organization. They must submit their developed proposal in a presentation of up to 10 slides and a short video of up to 3 minutes, which will be evaluated by a jury of ICCO experts.
The winning team will also have the opportunity to present their solution at the ICCO Global Summit, with travel and accommodation costs covered by the world federation. The finalists will be
They will receive an electronic certificate and can discuss the implementation of their idea with the relevant NGO. All finalists will be able to join ICCO’s exclusive Next Generation Group community, and winners will also be able to participate in the work of the NextGen Board.

The competition is open until March 25, 2026. Teams of agency, corporate or freelance professionals are also welcome to apply. The collaboration of participants from different professional backgrounds can be a distinct advantage in terms of strategic thinking and a solution-oriented approach.
