JYSK is an award-winning employer again – the company received another Top Employer recognition in Hungary and Europe
JYSK was awarded the Top Employer Hungary certification for the fourth time in 2026, and was also awarded the Top Employer Europe recognition for the second time. The awards confirm the company’s long-term HR strategy, which is based on competitive benefits, employee well-being and predictable development opportunities.
The Top Employer certification recognizes employers that excel in the areas of work environment, talent development, leadership development and employee experience. In the case of JYSK, these principles are not only a strategic goal, but also part of everyday operations in Hungary. JYSK’s employer approach has been further confirmed by prestigious international awards: the company was also listed among the world’s best employers in 2025 by Forbes, Fortune and TIME.
Competitive benefits and development opportunities
The company pays special attention to providing a stable and attractive working environment for its employees. From September 2025, logistics workers and from January 2026, store workers have also received an average wage increase of 8 percent. In addition, trade workers will receive a gross lump-sum cafeteria payment of HUF 60,000 twice – in April and December – in addition to monthly turnover bonuses and thematic competition prizes, while logistics workers will receive an average monthly performance-based bonus of 22 percent, in addition to subsidized workplace meals, unlimited coffee and tea consumption, fruit days, company bus trips and year-end gift vouchers.
The health-preserving benefits package also includes premium health insurance that includes dental care – or, as an alternative, health fund payments – as well as a contribution to support sports and support for commuting to work.
JYSK also consciously promotes professional development promotes. A wide range of training opportunities are available to employees, from practical licenses and mentoring programs to the Talent Academy or Team Leader Training that provides leadership development. The company’s long-term goal is to fill 80 percent of its management positions through internal appointments, thereby strengthening the predictability of internal career paths. Sports and health – well-being has become part of everyday operations. Employee well-being is also tangible in the logistics area. JYSK’s distribution center in Ecser – where nearly 400 employees work – won the Employer Sports and Health Award in 2025, an award that rewards long-term, systemic and integrated health-preserving practices in everyday operations. At the Ecser center, safe work, ergonomics and a health-conscious approach are not isolated initiatives, but rather interdependent elements of work organization, contributing to a sustainable and long-term work environment.
