Further drop in agricultural production prices
In July 2014 production prices reduced by 5.1 percent in agriculture if compared with July 2013. The price of vegetable products was down 8.4 percent but the price of livestock and products of animal origin rose 0.4 percent. Cereal crops’ price was 5.6 percent lower than in the base period, wheat’s price was up 4.6 percent and corn cost 10 percent less. Industrial vegetable prices were 11.7 percent lower than a year before and potato prices dropped 25.5 percent. Vegetable prices increased by 1.2 percent from the base period. Livestock production prices reduced by 1.4 percent. Products of animal origin cost 4.5 percent more, egg prices augmented by 0.5 percent and milk became 5.5 percent more expensive.
