In his 10-hour charity campaign, American James Donaldson, known online as MrBeast, donations were made to organisations including Berliner Tafel, Heilsarmee, Kältehilfe Berlin, Strassenfeger Vereinigung, Berliner Tiertafel and Die Arche Berlin.
MrBeast ran the campaign with the support of nine German social media personalities, including Hey Moritz, Rick Azas, Fabian Baggler, The Real Life Guys and Younes Zarou. The event was recorded on YouTube’s mrbeast2 channel, which has more than 300 million followers and regularly reaches over 100 million views with its videos.
MrBeast’s popularity is not only due to his charity campaigns, but also to his own brand of chocolate, Feastables, which is available exclusively in Edeka, Netto Marken-Discount and Marktkauf stores in Germany. According to Edeka, the launch of the brand was made possible through the company’s innovation platform Starthub.
