School fruit program with EU support
The school fruit program will ontinue in the next school year. In the program, introduced for the first time in this school year, primary school students can get free domestic, healthy apples.
The Hungarian schools will receive more than 2 million euros, a total of around 560 million HUF, from the European Union this year, in order to increase their awareness to healthy nutrition. In this school year, more than 1600 primary schools participated in the program, and the school students could achieve healthy domestic fruit twice per week or per day – reports szabadfold.hu.
