Amazon Web Services opens an office in Budapest
Amazon Web Services will open its first office in Budapest on June 5, 2023, which is part of AWS’s continuous expansion in Central and Eastern Europe to serve the growing number of customers and partners in the region. Thanks to the new Hungarian center, employees can provide even more support for the transition to AWS cloud services for Hungarian organizations of various sizes, including start-ups, startups, companies, and public sector organizations.
“Since Budapest is home to incredibly talented, highly qualified creative people and thanks to the fact that more and more people are switching to AWS solutions, we decided to open our office in Budapest. Supporting those who wish to increase the efficiency of the organizations and companies they represent through AWS cloud services.”
– said Przemek Szuder, CEO of the Central and Eastern European region of AWS. The expert added that they want to speed up the digital transformation of as many organizations as possible, and at the same time provide new, innovative products and services to Hungarian customers.
The current expansion is a direct consequence of the fact that in January 2020, AWS created the Budapest server base, which provides local customers with such advanced technologies as the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network service, AWS Shield, which guarantees protection for applications running on AWS systems, and AWS WAF that protects web applications from common attacks. At the same time, the AWS local server base connected Hungary to the AWS global infrastructure network.
