INTERPOMA 2008 – Bolzano
The sixth edition of “Interpoma”, the only international trade show for apple growing, storage and marketing which will take place from 6 to 8 November 2008 in Bolzano, South Tyrol (Italy), looks set to be the most international edition ever.
The global scale of the exhibition is
underlined by its new partners. They are the World Apple and Pear
Association (WAPA), whose speakers will take turns to address the
international conference “The Apple in the World”, by now a
traditional fixture of the trade fair, and the Assembly of European
Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Horticultural Regions (AREFLH), which
unites 28 European member regions. Furthermore, the directors of the
European Fruit Research Institutes Network (EUFRIN) working group
will once again hold their annual assembly at “Interpoma”.
The list of exhibitors includes a high
proportion of foreign businesses and associations representing no
fewer than 15 different countries. A large number of conference
participants and overseas visitors will also be in attendance.
A total exhibition space of 17,000
metres will be used to showcase the most comprehensive range of
products and services for apple growing, storage and marketing ever
seen at the event. Numerous experts from the sector will contribute
in the international conference “The Apple in the World”,
speaking on various topics relating to apple cultivation within an
increasingly global context.
