Caffè Vergnan began intensive national expansion
Fans of Italian premium coffees can meet the specialties of Caffè Vergnano at more than 90 locations thanks to the long-term cooperation between Coca-Cola HBC Magyarország, which distributes the brand in Hungary, and Félegyházi Pékség, which has nationwide coverage.
In October 2021, the Coca-Cola HBC group bought a 30% stake in the family-owned Casa del Caffè Vergnano company, and in January 2022, it was one of the first to start the exclusive distribution of Caffè Vergnano premium Italian coffee products in Hungary. In the three years that have passed since then, the company has worked to introduce the excellent Italian espresso coffee culture to the Hungarian audience, and to teach its catering industry partners who choose the brand how to make high-quality coffee drinks.
By signing the contract, Félegyházi Pékség became the largest catering partner of the Coca-Cola HBC group of companies selling Caffè Vergnano. In the framework of the cooperation, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary, in line with its 24/7 strategy covering all consumption occasions, will supply the bakery chain with coffee machines and training, where customers consume around 1.5 million cups of coffee every year. The two companies treat consumers with joint offers, special coffee offerings that vary from season to season.
Cooperation is strengthened by the fact that both Casa del Caffè Vergnano and Félegyházi Pékség are multi-generational family businesses, and both companies pay special attention to ensuring that their products and services represent the highest possible quality. In addition, it is also a related feature that both companies pay special attention to creating gender equality and increasing the proportion of female managers.
