Service providers offering local products are recognized with an innovative trademark
For the first time, the “We are local” trademark, created in cooperation with the Pannon Local Product and the Small-Scale Product Producers’ Interest Representation, with the support of the National Chamber of Agriculture, the Hungarian National Rural Network, the Institute of Agricultural Economics and the Center for Active and Ecotourism Development, was awarded. The aim of the innovative initiative is to qualify service providers offering local products.
The “We are local” trademark is an innovative initiative that was created in cooperation with Pannon Local Product and the Representation of Small-Scale Product Producers, with the support of the National Chamber of Agriculture, the Hungarian National Rural Network, the Agricultural Economy Institute and the Active and Ecotourism Development Center. Unlike other trademarks, the “We Are Local” trademark does not focus on the local product, but qualifies the quality service and experience built behind it. The goal is to focus on experience, to keep the guidelines of social and environmental sustainability in mind, and to increase customer engagement.
On August 24, representatives of several sectors – open gates, farmers’ markets, hospitality units, community-supported farms – obtained the certification of the “We are here” trademark at a handover ceremony organized by Szombathely. As an accompanying program of the celebration, the trademark owners also gave a taste of their services and products, so you could taste, buy, and get to know the actors.
