The government announces an innovation program package for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises
The government is announcing an innovation program package for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises worth HUF 181 billion, said the deputy state secretary responsible for innovation of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation in an interview with Magyar Nemzet published on Monday.
László Bódis, who is also the CEO of the National Innovation Agency (NIÜ), announced that the creation of innovative products and technologies based on research and development will be supported with HUF 106 billion, as well as the innovation of the business processes of the smallest enterprises with HUF 75 billion.
The primary goal of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program Plus (Ginop Plus) is to strengthen Hungarian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through investments, research and development activities, labor market and training programs, in line with the objectives set out in the Sándor Demján program. – pointed out the deputy state secretary.
As he explained, in the Ginop plus program more than HUF 2,000 billion are mainly available to businesses, and a good part of this, almost HUF 800 billion, is for research, development and innovation, which is almost forty percent of the program. “This also shows that the issue of innovation and research is extremely important to the Hungarian government,” said László Bódis.
He said that in the Sándor Demján program it was also recorded that the payment of European Union funds to SMEs would be accelerated. Accordingly, the HUF 181 billion innovation program package for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, consisting of two tender schemes, will be announced.
The goal is that the first advances of the HUF 181 billion fund, which can be applied for this year, reach the companies in the first half of next year.
– added the deputy state secretary.
