Innovation and value creation with paint

The last 20 years of paint and plaster manufacturing company Poli-Farbe is characterised by quality and innovation awards. Managing director Antal Szabó told our magazine that the firm started out as a family enterprise. Poli-Farbe is the David of the paint sector and has to compete with many Goliaths. The company differentiates itself from competitors by implementing charity programmes and organising other value-creating events. The firm keeps innovating: its Policolor mineral wool insulation system recently earned a quality prize. Poli-Farbe created the Pannon Paint Network, a new paint selling strategy the main idea of which is that paint retailers guarantee highlighted in-store presence for quality Hungarian products. So far 117 paint shops joined the initiative and sales in these units have already increased. The company celebrated its 20th birthday by donating paint to institutions that cannot afford it. They also organised an exhibition titled ‘Repainted Reality’ for painters and disabled painters.
