The Romanian Government gives free piglets to the mangalica breeders
A minimum of two, up to ten free piglets will be given by the Romanian government to those livestock farmers who under certain conditions undertake the fattening of Bázna mangalica types – the Romanian government decided on Wednesday.
The pig farmers and meat processors can apply for the program within 90 days after the government decree comes into force. Applications will be submitted to the county agricultural directorates.
The state support will be operated by the government for three years. This year 4.6 million leis (306.7 million forints) were earmarked for this purpose. (MTI)
