A Spanish restaurant is offering cash-strapped customers free meals, as long as they wash up their plates or mop the floors in return.La Trobada in Terrassa is gives residents — many of whom are jobless and living below the poverty line — the chance to eat out in exchange for an hour or two of work.The eatery – 20 miles from Barcelona — is one of several across the recession-crippled country that's come up with an alternative menu for poverty-stricken clients.Customers have a variety of chores to perform if they want to eat for free, including serving up the meals, cleaning or washing up.This is aimed at people wanting to regain and strengthen their self-esteem.
