Fluctuating grain prices are expected in the future
According to an officer of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) probably there will be greater volatility in the grain prices in the future than it has been before.
Studies shows that over the last 40-50 years, the volatility of grain prices did not increase significantly. The OECD believes that the prices in the next ten years, will stay on the average level before the 2006-2008 price explosion or above. According to the Russian President, Dmitrij Medvegyev the FAO has to play a key role in stabilizing the global grain prices – reports Magyar Nemzet Online.
