PENNY announces inflation freeze
PENNY Hungary has frozen prices for 70% of its meat product range, so popular products are available at the previous favorable or reduced prices. The inflation freeze also affects Easter hams, as they arrive at PENNY stores at last year’s prices. In view of the increased interest, the discount chain is preparing for the holidays with 20 budget-friendly ham variations and a 50% higher volume.
Lasting price reduction for the most popular meat products
Since January, customers have been able to access the popular and award-winning private-label Dárdás and Karát ham, salami, bacon or sausages at reduced or previous budget-friendly prices, which affects 70% of the entire meat product range.
Hungarian hams arrive at last year’s prices for Easter
PENNY is offering 20 types of ham this year during the Easter period, 15 of which come exclusively from domestic suppliers. Due to the high level of interest in the products, the discount chain has increased the available selection by 50%, but has not changed the prices of the products: the hams will be available in stores at last year’s prices.
“One of the most important aspects for us is to ensure quality at budget-friendly prices, which is why we have made another commitment: as the holidays approach, we have permanently reduced the prices of many meat products and are keeping Easter hams at last year’s prices for the benefit of Hungarian families,”
– said Eszter Kazatsay, Head of Communications at PENNY Hungary.
