The biggest event of Nagykanizsa, the 14th Kanizsa Wine and Dödölle Festival, starting on Friday, is not only about gastronomy, but also about community building – the mayor of the city said at a press conference.
Dénes Sándor (Fidesz-KDNP) emphasized that they would like to declare the Dödölle to be Hungarikum, for decades but at least to win this title for the Dödölle and Wine Festival.
Horváth István, president of the organizing KonTuRplusz Association told that after last year’s 19 teams this year, 28 teams signed up for the cooking contest on Saturday, where a jury of renowned chefs will award the best dödölles, country-style meals and the most beautiful stalls.
