The beekeeping support program starts

The head of the department explained that the subsidies are help for the acquisition of new tools for beekeeping, for the protection against bee diseases and pests, for the transfer of knowledge in the sector, as well as in the field of honey marketing. István Nagy emphasized that the support will be available from this year as part of the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan adopted by the European Commission, and 50% of its resources will continue to be provided by the Hungarian government. In the new system regulated by the decree that has just been published, the support forms of the previous, well-functioning National Beekeeping Program are mostly included. From July 4, 2023, beekeepers can submit their support and payment requests separately for each support purpose exclusively electronically for the eligible activities carried out this year. This is possible through the electronic form-filling interface provided by the Hungarian State Treasury, which is assisted by the village farmers of the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy and the beekeeping consultants of the OMME, explained the minister.

In the case of support for the acquisition of new equipment necessary for the continuation of beekeeping activities and migration, the application deadline is the last day of the month following the date of payment of the invoice. The deadline for submission of tenders for the support of pharmaceutical control against bee diseases and pests and the improvement of bee hygiene conditions for invoices issued with a completion date of July 31, 2023 at the latest is August 1, 2023. it is dated no later than July 31, 2023, and the submission deadline is August 3, 2023. And if the need for support for the purchase of new equipment is based on the recently published Regulation 25/2023 on the rules for the use of subsidies in the beekeeping sector co-financed by the central budget and the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund in 2023. (VI. 26) arises before the entry into force of the AM decree on June 27, 2023, then the application for support can be submitted within the thirtieth day after the entry into force of the decree – listed the minister.
