The melon harvest starts at the weekend
The melon producers of Medgyesegyháza, Békés County begin start to harvest the melon at the weekend. The farmers questioned by MTI are expecting a good season.
Cseh György a 13-hectare cultivator with 40 years of melon-growing experience told MTI: The weather of last month has favored the watermelon growth in the open air, which is expected to be of high quality. The farmer expects an average yield of 50 tonnes per hectare. (MTI)
