Sainsbury’s tests in-store recycling system
Sainsbury’s plans to introduce a new in-store recycling system which makes it possible for customers to recycle polypropylene (PP) film. There are 63 Sainsbury’s stores participating in the trial. A report by Valpak from last year reveals: 266,000 tonnes of plastic packaging waste came from PP plastics in 2019, from which 80,000 tonnes were PP film.
