IMF: global economic outlook seems to be improving again
After last year’s decrease, the global economic outlook gradually improved again, although the downward risks remain pronounced – shows last year’s World Economic Outlook, published on the website of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). According to the outlook, the post-crisis recovery is unusually uneven: very weak in many advanced economies, while surprisingly strong in many emerging economies.
The IMF now forecasts that the global economy will grow 3.5 percent this year and 4.1 percent next year. The developed economies will expand by an average of 1.4 and 2.0 percent, while the economies of the emerging and developing regions together will improve by 6.7 percent this year, and 6.0 percent next year.
