Here are the top 10 restaurants of the year!
No surprise this year: Onyx, a gourmet downtown restaurant in Budapest, is the restaurant of the year again, according to Hennessy-Dining Guide. It offers Hungarian classics with modern elements. For a sampling of the remarkable tastes here opt for one of their tasting menus or try a lunch special (approx. HUF 3,500-4,000), as a more affordable option. The restaurant's Neo-Baroque interior comes with crystal chandeliers and oversized flower motifs.
Onyx is the second restaurant in Budapest to receive the prestigious Michelin Star recognition from Michelin Guide and its Executive Chef, Szabina Szullo, is the first Hungarian chef to receive the award. The Hungarian owned restaurant prides itself in its 'home grown' staff and sourcing its ingredients and wine selection from within Hungary.
Onyx follows Costes, which was the first Budapest restaurant to recieve a Michelin Star.
