Here are the 50 best hotels in the world
Thailand’s Capella Bangkok proved to be the best hotel of the year 2024, after improving ten places from last year’s 11th position to the top. The prestigious recognition was awarded by an anonymous jury of 600 people, made up of travel experts, journalists and hoteliers, and the result was announced in London.
Capella Bangkok is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and offers its guests 101 luxury suites and villas. The hotel has a Michelin-starred restaurant, a spa, and seven private riverside villas with plunge pools. Nightly room rates start at $600.
The rapid progress of the hotel also reflects that guests are increasingly looking for special services and exclusive experiences. In addition to the Capella, several other luxury hotels also earned a prominent place on the list, which spans dozens of destinations on six continents.
In this year’s ranking, Asia has the most hotels, with a total of 19 hotels, followed by Europe with 13 hotels. The prestigious list includes famous locations such as Rosewood Hong Kong, Cheval Blanc in Paris, and Soneva Fushi in the Maldives.
