The award – presented by the Digital Trade Association, Ecommerce Hungary and Growww Digital – can be won by reliable and ethical companies in Hungarian majority ownership, which realise annual online sales revenue above HUF 1bn and meet strict competitiveness criteria. Winners received their awards at the Internet Hungary conference on 1 October 2024, which took place in Siófok. From the 47 globally most competitive companies 15 were honoured with the prize.

This year’s HungarEcomm Stars winners
Among companies with sales revenue above HUF 10bn Pepita Group Zrt. (pepita.hu) finished first, BioTechUSA Kft. (shop.biotechusa.hu) was the runner-up and iPon Computer Kft. (ipon.hu) came in third. WhiskyNet Kft. (whiskynet.hu) topped the list in the HUF 5-10bn range, followed by Mobilredfox Kft. (mobilfox.com) in second place and Furbify Hungary Kft. (furbify.hu) in third. Greenman Kft. (greenman.hu) took the first prize in the HUF 1-5bn category, followed by Nutriversum Kft. (nutriversum.com) and Suller-Táp Kft. (kutyakajas.hu). “Just to make the list is a big achievement, as these 47 companies account for one-thousandth of all Hungarian webshops, but their importance is clearly demonstrated by the fact that their combined sales revenue exceeded HUF 500bn last year, 40% of which (HUF 219bn) came from online sales. These businesses would be successful anywhere in the world”, said László Szabó, founding partner of Groww Digital. //
