These are the results of ALDI’s clothing sale

ALDI launched a one-week sale on almost all clothing and shoes in stock on September 11. On the first day, all affected products were available for a unit price of 1,000 forints, then the prices decreased day by day, and finally on September 17, new clothes or shoes could be purchased for only 5 forints. The sale affected nearly 700 different products – men’s and women’s T-shirts, dresses, socks, pants, shoes, slippers, gloves, coats – and the total stock was nearly 700,000 products.

The sale brought one of the most outstanding results in ALDI’s history in Hungary. In just one week, nearly 160,000 customers took advantage of the opportunity and bought clothes and shoes at a sensational discount. The extraordinary interest is not surprising, since in the case of many coats, clothes and shoes, the 1,000 forint price on the first day already meant a 75-90% discount compared to the original price. On the first day of the sale, about 290,000 products were sold, on the second day more than 163,000, and even on the third day nearly 100,000 were sold. Many people took care of updating their family’s wardrobe from ALDI: those who bought the discounted brand-new products chose more than four items on average.
