Illegal meat packaging plant was found in Kőbánya
The experts of the Pest county animal health authority found an illegal meat packaging plant in Kőbánya on Monday – announced Bognár Lajos, Deputy Secretary of State at the Ministry of Rural Development responsible for food chain surveillance at the site of the ongoing investigation.
Bognár Lajos said that during the investigation the authority seized about three tons of food. The food packaging was carried out illegally, among inadequate hygiene conditions.
Inspectors are examining the origin of food. During the investigation they would like to receive an answer where the goods came from and who bought it.
The Deputy Secretary of State told that the expected consequences of the criminal activity will be supply chain management fine and denouncement. (MTI)
