IKSZ: the proportion of selectively collected beverage cartons has increased
The ratio of selectively collected beverage cartons is increasing from year to year in Hungary. Last year, their proportion amounted to 22 percent – according to the calculations of the Beverage Carton Environment Protection Association (IKSZ).
The organization's aim is to increase this ratio above 50 percent by 2020, so every second beverage carton will be recycled.
In Hungary about 400 million beverage cartons are marketed annually. Significant savings could be achieved if half of them, ie about 6,000 tons would be thrown to separate collection containers – the IKSZ told MTI. (MTI)
