IKSZ: 95 tons of beverage cartons were collected by children

The Italos Karton Környezetvédelmi Egyesülés (IKSZ) (Beverage Carton Environmental Association) closed its most successful selective collection campaign with 95 tons of beverage cartons.

The children collected this quantity in the scope of a large-scale environmental program launched last October with the involvement of 278 education institutions of 13 settlements. The aim of the program involved 53,000 children to raise the children, their parents and teachers awareness that the beverage cartons can be collected separately and can be recycled. In the scope of the campaign 1 hectare of forest, ie, 627 trees was saved from cutting.
