IHS Markit: eurozone economic performance boosted in April
Eurozone private sector performance rose in April for the second consecutive month in April, after manufacturing output grew at its strongest pace for more than 23 years, and after a decline in March, the services sector strengthened in April for the first time since August last year, IHS Markit announced on Friday, based on preliminary data.
The euro area manufacturing purchasing managers’ index rose to a high of 63.3 points in April from the 62.5 points of the previous month. It is the highest value since the surveys began in June 1997. Analysts expected 62 points. (MTI)
