The Parajd salt mine is one of the largest salt reserves in Europe, the salt mound itself has a diameter of 1.2 km × 1.4 km, is slightly elliptical in shape and is rooted to a depth of 2,700 meters. It hides salt that can be mined for hundreds of years to come, making it one of the most significant treasure chests of Transylvania’s wealth.
