Average earnings in the first half of the year
In January-April, the average gross earnings were an average 3.4, percent higher than in the same period of last year, while net earnings calculated without taking the family allowances into account were 4.7 percent higher than in the same period of last year at enterprises employing at least 5 persons, at public institutions and at the observed non-profit organizations – the Central statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
In the first four months of the year, the gross earnings of full-time employees were an average of 226 700 HUF. The average gross earnings of empoyees working at companies were 237 900 HUF, while in the public sector – but not in the public employment – workers earned – 213 100 HUF. The average income of public employees was 78 300 HUF. (MTI)
