How airport traffic changed in 2021

Frankfurt Airport’s traffic increased by a third last year compared to the previous year, but it was still two-thirds below pre-crisis traffic, according to a statement issued on Monday by airport operator Fraport AG. Frankfurt Airport (FRA) handled 24.8 million passengers in 2021, 32.2 percent more than in 2020. However, the year before the crisis, from 2019, 2021 was still 64.8 percent behind.
