This is how Fanta and Universal Pictures are making Halloween even spookier

This year, Fanta is teaming up with Universal Pictures to bring the special flavors and atmosphere of Halloween. During the campaign, four horror characters come to life, meeting each other for the first time on Fanta packaging.

Halloween is no longer just a holiday for Generation Z – it is more of a field of film culture, self-expression and identity. Costumes, memes, cult film quotes are just as much a part of it as parties and candy. At such times, other generations also enjoy nostalgic moments with young people. Fanta’s goal is to bring the thrills known from films to everyday life in a playful and entertaining way – from the cinema screen to the store shelves.

This year, under the slogan “They Wanta Fanta”, the soft drink brand, in collaboration with Universal Pictures, is addressing a wide range of horror fans. The campaign targets fans of cinema and pop culture from Generation Z to the older generation. Whether you’re looking for a nostalgic thrill or a new-generation horror adrenaline rush, Fanta will be the common thread this year. Four different horror movie characters come to life on the soft drink packaging: Chucky from Child’s Play, Raiders from Black Phone, Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy’s and M3gan from the M3gan films. In addition to Fanta’s most well-known flavors (orange, grape, strawberry), the characters are also chasing a brand new limited edition special: “Chucky Punch”, which is guaranteed to become a cult favorite with its exciting berry flavor. Although the characters come from different universes and appeal to different age groups, this time they are driven by the same motivation: they are thirsty for Fanta soft drink.

The partnership will launch globally on September 1, 2025 with a limited edition Fanta Halloween collection, featuring each icon in their own bottle: Chucky on Chucky Punch, the Raiders on Strawberry, Freddy Fazbear on Orange and M3gan on Grape. The characters will not only be featured on the packaging, but will also appear in unexpected places, in stores, on social media and in a special giveaway where lucky winners can win an exclusive Fanta package, a popcorn maker or a trip for two to Los Angeles.
