This is how we can prepare for when the authorities come
In the future, the various authorities will be able to regularly check not only multinationals, but also micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. In order not to surprise company managers, in addition to following the rules, it is also worth paying attention to a prepared attitude. For this, you can even use external help, for example in the form of situational exercises.
The essence of such trainings is to simulate an event with a realistic high probability of occurring in practice, namely when an authority comes to a company’s headquarters. Most often, this can be the police or the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV), or perhaps the Economic Competition Office (GVH). During the training, the participants can experience what they could really experience in this kind of situation. They experience the same behavior on the part of the instructors as they do in reality, so they are no longer, or only less likely, to be surprised in a live situation.
“The structure of the exercise is realistic, at least the one organized by us certainly is. It is typically organized for smaller groups, in the office of the given company, to make it lifelike. The first encounter begins with an open procedural act, with capture and production. During this, the adrenaline level reaches a state that the body probably rarely has to endure. There is no physical confrontation, since the action takes place against the so-called white-collar workers, where the authorities basically expect no resistance. So this is only necessary to achieve the basic mood, and because it can also happen in reality”
– said private investigator Zalán Doór, executive director of the X-Rock Private Investigation Office.
